To design and develop GSM/3G/WCDMA/HSDPA/ WiFi Broadband/ WiMAX/ Bluetooth /GPS wireless communication handheld products.
Participate in RF system level design and/or board level design for high speed wireless communication systems, such as Short Range Application (UWB/Bluetooth/ZigBee/ETC/DSRC), WiFi, WiMAX, GPS, or W-CDMA/GSM.
RF macro specification definition, architectural design for Rx/Tx receiver, system performance budget simulation and analysis, design and verification of the physical layer characteristics and air interface.
Base band Circuit / CPU Architecture / Peripheral design (Digital, Analog, Mixed Signal)
EMC compliance testing and Product level type approval experience.
Perform RF component and sub-systems evaluation, selection and recommendation
PCB layout for RF performance optimization
Type approval related compliance testing
Degree/Masters in Electronic/ Telecommunication Engineering with at least 5-year experience in System level architecture design and evaluation of Rx/Tx Block and/or RFIC for wireless communication systems and System simulation and prototyping.
In-depth knowledge of RF/analog/mixed signal circuits, evaluation and design quality.
Experience in designing and troubleshooting wireless telecommunication products.
Exposure to international signalling standards (CCITT, ITU, ETSI, FCC etc) is essential
Practical experience in test equipment, regulatory type approval and good debug practice
In-depth technical knowledge of GSM and 3G UMTS Network Architecture, Circuit Switching and Signalling System Protocol is mandatory.
Familiar with processes, e.g. 6 sigma, DOE, DFM, SPC and DFT.
Others: Prepare to travel. Occasional work in Malaysia, China & India for a short period.
