Job Description

To develop GSM/3G/WCDMA/HSDPA/WiFi Broadband/ WiMAX/ Bluetooth/ GPS wireless communication handheld products.

Responsible for RF Microwave Architecture System design and characterizations of high speed wireless communication systems e.g. WiFi, WiMAX, GPS or W-CDMA/GSM and short range Application such as UWB/ Bluetooth /ZigBee /ETC /DSRC).

Base-band Circuit/ CPU Architecture/ Peripheral design (Digital, Analog, Mix Signal) platform design.

Peripherals Interface implementation (e.g. USB, UART, PCM, SPI, 12C).

EMC compliance testing and Product level type approval experience.

Perform RF components and sub-systems evaluation, selection and recommendation.

Conduct Full Type approval related compliance testing, product Accelerated Life Test and HALT 6-sigma tolerance analysis.

Perform PCB layout hand on experience using e.g. PADS, PROTEL, CADENCE, ALLEGRO, for RF performance optimization.

Job Competency        

Basic Qualification        :  Degree/Master in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering

Minimum Experience         :        

Capable to perform basic Circuit Analysis and design on RF/analog/ mixed signal circuits and evaluation.

At least 5 years experience in System level architecture design and evaluation of Rx /Tx Block and/or RFIC for wireless communication systems and system simulation and prototyping.

PCB layout design experience is a MUST and fast learner on different tools.

Simulation and Evaluation of RFIC and RF system performance.

Exposure to international signaling standards (CCITT, ITU, ETSI, FCC etc) is essential.

Practical experience in test equipment, regulatory type approval and good debug practice.

In-depth technical knowledge of GSM and 3G UMTS Network Architecture, Circuit Switching and Signaling System protocol in mandatory.

Understanding of IP networking, routing concept and internetworking Protocols.

Experience in vendor management and project management of telecommunication projects is preferable.

Expected Skills        :

       

Knowledge of field test, FTA and network operation.

Knowledge of TCP/IP product development and implementation.

Possess good commercial sense, good analytical, written, presentation and verbal communication skills.

Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to operate within a team environment.

Able to work under tight schedules and solve complex engineering problems.

Others:        Prepare to travel and short stay in Singapore/ Malaysia/ India...etc for short term assignment.
