AUGUSTINE YAP CHOON MING (MR)

Augustine Yap is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of the Christel Group of Companies. He is responsible for New Business Strategy and Technology Development in Christel. Prior to setting up Christel, he has more than 18 years of experience in R & D, manufacturing, sales and marketing. He held various senior management positions, locally and overseas (China & Indonesia), in reputable Electronics, Information Communication Technology, and Telecommunications industries such as in Motorola, Flairis, PCI and Giant Wireless.
Augustine Yap holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honour) Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from The Polytechnic of Huddersfield, UK (now known as University). Prior graduated from UK he was studied from Technical Institute major in Mechanical Engineering & Workshop. He is an Associate Member of IET, UK.
Augustine Yap also holder of several USA/UK/Motorola Patents. He was invited by Malaysia’s Ministry of Energy, Water and Communication to be the forum speaker in MyICMS 886 Forum in June 2007.
CJ. BALAKRISHNAN (MR)
(SENIOR STAFF/ QA MANAGER)
Balakrishnan joined Christel in May 2007. He holds the position of Senior Staff cum QA Manager and is responsible for reliability evaluation of all products in development stage. He is also the technical staff for RF circuits design.
Balakrishnan has over 30 years of experience in electronics equipment design for military and robust outdoor environment in India & Singapore. Prior to joining Christel, he held the position of Senior Deputy General Manager in R&D of BPL Limited Bangalore, and various senior technical and business management position in India & Singapore.
Balakrishnan holds Bachelor of Engineering 1st Class Degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Madras University, India and 1st Class Master in Technology Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India.
